Alkonost FloppyFormatX is a DLL that provides software developers with
a way to format floppy disks to standard and non-standard formats, to format single track(s) and to verify diskettes.
Alkonost FloppyFormatX allows to format floppies to the standard formats
for 3.5 inch disks of 1.44MB and 720K, 5.25 inch disks of 1.2MB, and
non-standard formats: 1.68MB DMF1 and DMF2 (3.5 inch disks).
FloppyFormatX DLL provides main features of
Alkonost MaxFormat.
The distribution package contains Alkonost FloppyFormatX library and samples
for C, C++, Visual Basic and Borland Delphi.
Registered users can distribute ContraCopy diskettes with their software without any royalties.
System requirements
• PC-compatible machine
• 2 MB hard disk space
• Standard 1.44 MB 3.5" floppy drive
• Operating systems: Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP
For using of Alkonost FloppyFormatX DLL you can be logged to NT/2000/XP without Administrator privileges.
Note: Some external USB floppy drives do not support non-standard formats.
